What do we do?
The Mexican Geological Survey (SGM) is a decentralized public organism of the Federal Government with self juridical personality and patrimony, regulated by the Mining Law under the sector of the Economy undersecretariat of the Economy Secretariat.
MISSION: We are an institution committed to generating the geological knowledge of Mexico and promoting its best application to contribute to investment and competitiveness in the sustainable use of natural resources, thus contributing to national development.
VISION: We want to be the national governing body in geosciences with global recognition, which accelerates the social, economic and sustainable transformation of the country.
